Yeah, I know, it’s been a while since my last blog update. Well just to get you back on track I’ve completed my MSc in Internet Computing and I came back home permanently. After three years in the UK I’ve returned to Cyprus to continue a life with slow internet connections and non-professionals everywhere. I’ll leave these rantings for another time though. The reason of this post is to let you know (especially those RSS readers out there) that I’ve updated my site’s design. I’ve been working on a redesign for a while now and after a couple of unreleased designs I finally made my mind. I’ve included some nice additions that hopefully you will like too.
Being a member of a photography club has its perks. I’m an active member in the Photographers of Surrey club (private flickr group) and every month or so we submit photos to the Battle of the Clubs competition. This is hosted by the Digital SLR User Magazine. Last month the theme was “Portraits” so I gave it a go. There were some great submissions and we managed to score 43 points out of 45. One of the submitted photos was my “Mesmerizing” photo. Apart from scoring really high we also managed to get our photos printed in the latest issue (September issue) of the Digital SLR User Magazine!
It’s been a while since my last post. This time I’m posting a productivity tip that sure helped me and I hope it will help you too! When I use Finder to navigate on directories and I want to go the previous directory I had to press the ‘Back’ button or the “⌘+[” (that’s cmd + ‘[‘) combo. Since OS X allows to reorder the position of various controls I took advantage of that. By moving the ‘Back/Forward’ controls closer to the file and directory listing I can navigate faster since my cursor covers less distance. Since I do more with less then it is all good! Read on to find out how you can do this.
